Help us protect Lake Munson

Lake Munson is a 240-acre urban lake and wetland just south of Tallahassee — a refuge for wildlife and a resource for the community. Decades of stormwater runoff and neglect have taken a toll. Your support funds the work to bring it back.

Friends of Lake Munson is a volunteer-led nonprofit. Every dollar goes directly to the lake.

Where it goes

Three things your donation makes possible

Water quality monitoring

Regular testing and reporting on nutrient levels, algae blooms, and pollutant runoff — keeping the data public and the pressure on.

Wildlife habitat restoration

Removing invasive species, replanting native vegetation, and protecting nesting areas for herons, turtles, and migratory birds.

Community stewardship

Organizing cleanups, educational walks, and public advocacy so the community stays connected to the lake they share.

Get involved

The lake needs more than money — it needs people

Join a cleanup, attend a meeting, or simply spread the word. Every act of care for Lake Munson adds up.
